On 3 June 2023, together with the Czech Hobby Horsing Association, we held our first international Hobby Horsing competition for children and young people. In our view, the competition was a great success!

We chose the sports hall in Tachov for the event because nothing like this had yet been held in our region, and it is also close to our hometown of Mariánské Lázně. Thanks to the Czech Hobby Horsing Association’s well-developed competition organization system and experience, everything ran smoothly. A support team was also available to answer questions and help all competitors. The fairness and integrity of the competition were ensured by head judge Bára, who has earned some of the highest-level titles in both show jumping and dressage with real horses.

Competitors could choose from several disciplines at the competition. Classes were offered by age category so that every participant had the chance either simply to try a discipline or to compete seriously. Classes were open to participants aged 2 to 18. We were very pleased to welcome competitors from all over the country as well as from Slovakia. Over the course of the day, just under one hundred competitors made 300 starts in the hall.

The competition featured four main disciplines: show jumping, dressage, puissance and race. Competitors competed for rosettes, trophies and prizes. Special prizes were offered in the LarDen Challenge competitions, where competitors could also win our new size-S Hobby Horse.

Anyone who needed equipment for Hobby Horsing could try it out or even buy it at the stands right on the sports floor.

We are delighted that everyone left the competition satisfied and that the whole event took place in a very friendly atmosphere. We look forward to seeing you next time—maybe even in your region!
